Job summary

A major sports and entertainment venue in Ottawa is seeking a Program Support individual to facilitate sport sessions for youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder. This role involves engaging with participants, adapting lesson plans, and collaborating with staff. Ideal candidates will have experience in program facilitation, knowledge of ASD, and leadership skills. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in program facilitation, lesson planning, and sport or recreation leadership.
• Strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder and inclusive programming.
• Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate logistics effectively.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Strong ability to problem solve and think on your feet.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Availability to work on weekends and weeknights.
• Access to a vehicle for multiple program sites.
• Able to provide a clear Vulnerable Sector Check.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and delivery of weekly sport sessions.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and sport curriculums.
• Oversee activities with Inclusion Coach and staff during sessions.
• Serve as main point of contact onsite for families.
• Monitor program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
