Role Overview

HopeSpring is seeking a passionate and dedicated Youth Social Worker to lead the planning, organization, and oversight of youth exercise activities as part of our Children’s Programming. This role is pivotal in helping youth understand cancer, develop coping skills, and express their emotional well‑being through structured exercise and social interaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning: Develop and implement age‑appropriate exercise activities tailored to the needs and interests of youth participating in Children’s Programming.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with other team members to integrate exercise activities seamlessly into the overall program, ensuring alignment with therapeutic objectives.
  • Participant Engagement: Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages active participation in exercise sessions.
  • Education and Support: Provide information and resources to help youth understand cancer, its impact, and strategies for coping effectively. Offer emotional support and guidance as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of child development, trauma‑informed care, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate engaging and age‑appropriate exercise activities.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
