Job summary

A provincial government entity in Canada is seeking a para-professional to supervise and counsel youth offenders at the PEI Youth Centre. Candidates must have a degree in social science or a related diploma, and experience with troubled youth is preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are required, along with a valid driver’s license and CPR certification. Qualifications

  • Experience working with troubled youth.
  • Possession of a valid Class 4 driver’s license.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Good previous work and attendance record.

Responsibilities

  • Providing 24-hour supervision, safety, and security to Offenders.
  • Delivering structured daily programs.
  • Assisting Offenders with life skills development.
  • Developing individualized reintegration plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
