Job summary

A local non-profit organization in Alberta is seeking mature young adults to volunteer as recreation therapy mentors for youth involved in the criminal justice system. Qualifications

• Willing to undergo a background or police records check.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be comfortable commuting to the opportunity location.
• Must own a cell phone.

Responsibilities

• Meet with a youth once a week at a recreation facility or virtually.
• Participate in leisure activities based on the youth’s interests.
• Document details of the intervention after each meeting.
• Be available Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
• Provide transportation and stable internet connection.
• Complete a Police Criminal Record Check and Child Intervention Check.
