Job summary

Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs is seeking a Project Coordinator to support the Eagle's Nest First Nations Youth Program. You will supervise day-to-day on-site activities for up to 60 youth aged 16–30, guided by the Medicine Wheel approach, and help deliver four-month intakes across three phases.

You will organize programming, recruit participants, manage attendance, and liaise with staff and partners to ensure safe, educational experiences that build skills and well-being.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or combination of education and experience working with First Nations Youth.
  • Proven experience in facilitating, presenting, public speaking and financial knowledge.
  • Knowledge of challenges and issues facing First Nation youth and resulting strategies.
  • Proficient research and analytical skills are required.
  • Excellent written, presentation and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in computerized systems Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook Calendar, Zoom.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day on-site supervision for youth participants and coordinate activities.
  • Develop a yearly calendar of programming, workshops, and cultural activities.
  • Recruit and select First Nations participants and conduct orientations for each intake.
  • Maintain attendance records and monitor participant progress through case management.
  • Develop personal portfolios for participants and coordinate nutrition programs.
  • Coordinate with staff and community partners to ensure safe, productive environment.
