Job summary

A health authority in Nova Scotia is seeking a Mental Health Crisis Nurse to provide critical mental health services for children and youth in crisis. Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years experience with children and youth with acute mental illness.
  • Recent training in Non Violent Crisis Intervention or equivalent required.
  • Must have current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide mental health clinical service for children and youth in crisis.
  • Conduct trauma-informed assessments and develop therapeutic care plans.
  • Coordinate with other health professionals for referrals and treatment planning.
