Qualifications

  • Qualified Social Worker, Probation Officer, or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Significant experience in Youth Justice.
  • Strong understanding of the Crime & Disorder Act 1998 and youth justice legislation.
  • Experience producing statutory reports such as Pre‑Sentence Reports and AssetPlus assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of young people on statutory court orders.
  • Deliver strengths-based, systemic interventions with young people.
  • Prepare Pre-Sentence Reports and court assessments.
  • Represent the Youth Offending Team in court.

Skills

Experience in Youth Justice
Skilled in multi-agency working
Strong understanding of youth justice legislation
Ability to build positive relationships with families
Knowledge of trauma-informed approaches
