Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Toronto seeks a community outreach and youth engagement professional to deliver educational webinars and workshops for youth, parents and professionals. You will plan meetings, build partnerships with schools and community groups, and develop content for online platforms.

Applicants should have post-secondary education in a related field, strong facilitation and outreach experience, and be able to work flexible hours including travel. A criminal reference check is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience with outreach activities and strategies is required.
  • Facilitation experience preferred (1-2 years).
  • Experience delivering public health, prevention, and awareness initiatives is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and facilitate educational webinars and workshops online and in person for youth, parents, and professionals.
  • Plan and chair online and in-person meetings with youth groups and professionals.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with school boards, community organizations, and youth service providers.
  • Plan, organize and implement community involvement initiatives in collaboration with other organizations.
  • Create content and support the program's online content strategy and online presence.
  • Carry out brokerage, advocacy, and resourcing functions to ensure youth access to programs.
