Job description

Are you a senior technician with a passion for heavy machinery and a knack for solving complex technical challenges We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician with a focus on Concrete Pumps including truck-mounted and crawler-mounted units to join our dynamic team.

In this role you’ll be at the forefront of after-sales support responsible for coordinating the delivery, commissioning and technical service of new concrete pump equipment. From performing pre-delivery inspections (PDI) and troubleshooting mechanical systems to conducting customer training and supporting warranty evaluations your expertise will ensure the reliable performance and satisfaction of our end users.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all aspects of after-sale projects associated with the scope of delivery of new truck-mounted concrete pumps and concrete crawler pumps including commissioning.
  • Projects may include completion of PDI and organizing contracting services for additional assembly and paint of product.
  • Provide on-site or remote technical assistance to troubleshoot repair or adjust equipment.
  • Perform on-site or in-house equipment assembly upgrades and modifications as directed by supervisor.
  • Operate equipment to troubleshoot machine problems and evaluate correctness and completeness of repairs.
  • Organize and conduct on-site safety maintenance and operational training for end users of equipment during in-service.
  • Perform warranty evaluations and assist with preparing warranty claims.
  • Complete and submit all required reports and documentation correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Calibrations use of software tools for various components.
  • Knowledge of truck integration axle load requirements mounting of pump input with factory.
  • Ability to support parts ordering between customers and Liebherr.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Competencies
  • You possess 5 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician (Field Service experience is strongly preferred)
  • Provincially Recognized Heavy Equipment Certification is strongly preferred.
  • Training and operation experience with heavy equipment and pumps an asset.
  • Demonstrated diagnostic and troubleshooting skills component exchange repair and warranty related activities.
  • You are able to effectively communicate detailed and complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • You are self-motivated with the ability to work alone unsupervised for extended periods of time.
  • Fully proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Bilingual in English and French will be considered an asset.
