Ledcor Highways Ltd. is offering year-round road maintenance opportunities across Alberta, with contracts up to seven years. If you hold a Class 1, 2 or 3 license, you can join a team focused on safety, community and career growth.

You'll operate heavy equipment and maintain highways, with rewards including training, benefits, RSPs and advancement within Ledcor. Positions cover various locations in Alberta, with shift work, on-call and night duties as needed, and premiums for winter operations.

Qualifications

• Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
• Clear 3-year driver’s abstract
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required

Work Conditions

• As we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
• Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC

Rates & Premiums

• Will be provided a base hourly rate from $27.25/hour to $31.75/hour based on experience
• Operators will be eligible to receive premiums starting at $8/hour, when performing winter maintenance operations
• Operators will be eligible to receive a premium starting at $14/hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit
• $3500 lump sum paid prior to Dec 1 for ZONE B (Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Valleyview) Must have worked 6 months and have at least 250 plow hours
• $4000 lump sum paid prior to Dec for ZONE B (Grande Prairie Beaverlodge, Valleyview) Must have worked 8 months and have at least 250 plow hours
