Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking Crane Operators to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB - for Night shift - 5:00pm-3:00am Monday-Thursday.

We offer day, evening and weekend shifts with excellent premiums for evening and weekend day shifts. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials.
  • Drive the crane to the job site.
  • Rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation).
  • Set up the machine for the lift (make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials.
  • Booms (including telescoping booms and articulating booms possessing live lines) capable of swinging, hoisting and booming up and down with a lifting capacity of greater than 5 tons (4.5 tonnes) and less than 45 tons (40.8 tonnes).
  • Service and operate travelling, fixed or climbing type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and a jib.
  • Perform pre‑operational inspection and calculate crane capacities and weight to prepare for rigging and hoisting.
  • Perform routine maintenance work such as cleaning and lubricating cranes.
Qualifications
  • Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson mobile crane certification; inter‑provincial red seal certificate is preferred.
  • Hold a valid Alberta Class #1 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Operate other yard machines such as a forklift / zoom boom as needed (training will be provided).
  • Strong attention to detail and safety protocols.
