Job summary

Kent Building Supplies is seeking a Yard Associate to assist customers, load lumber and materials, and keep the yard organized and safe. This is a part-time role with potential for full-time hours based on business needs.

You will work outdoors in varying weather, greet customers, and help locate items, while maintaining yard displays and processing orders. Forklift training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexible to a variable shift including mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in lumber yard/retail is an asset.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
• Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
• Must be 21+ due to forklift operation.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is required.
