Job summary

RST Sunbury Transport is seeking a Yard Associate to maintain clean, safe, and ready yard facilities and inventory. You will inspect yards daily, coordinate maintenance, manage assets, and assist drivers with equipment moves while supporting gate access and supplies.

This role also covers after-hours support as needed. Applicants should have a high school diploma, a valid Class 1 license, and 1–3 years in a related field.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver's license and clean driving record.
• 1–3 years in yard, warehouse, transport, or maintenance preferred.
• Willingness for flexible hours and on-call support.
• Ability to work independently and perform physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and security of yard locations.
• Conduct daily yard inspections and checks of facilities.
• Coordinate debris removal and yard maintenance with partners.
• Track and manage assets, including equipment relocation.
• Support drivers during pickups, drop-offs, and tractor movements.
• Monitor and replenish office and operational supplies regularly.
• Serve as primary contact for gate access and yard issues.
• Provide on-call assistance outside normal hours when required.
• Assist with upkeep of buildings, grounds, and property.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a yard, warehouse, transportation, logistics, or maintenance role preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and provide after-hours/on-call support as required.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic understanding of equipment, vehicle, and facility maintenance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to travel between yard locations when required.
