Job summary

Kent Building Supplies Inc. in Moncton, NB is hiring a part-time Yard Associate to support a safe, organized outdoor yard and assist customers with product selection and loading.

Starting wage is $16.15 per hour, with potential for up to full-time hours based on business needs. You will greet customers, help locate lumber and building materials, maintain displays, load and unload inventory, and operate equipment after training.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old due to forklift operation requirements.
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent is required.
• Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Experience in lumber yard or retail is an asset.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Able to lift and move heavy materials.
• Bilingual (French/English) is an asset.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety standards are met at all times.

• Organize and maintain yard displays, including signage and pricing.
• Load, unload, replenish, and restock inventory in the yard.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (training provided).
• Complete paperwork for orders, returns, and damaged goods.
• Stay informed about new products and promotions.
