Job summary

A private medical diagnostic center in Toronto seeks a Medical Radiation Technologist to operate X-ray and fluoroscopic equipment, explain procedures to patients, and maintain equipment. Certification from the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists is required, along with experience and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment. This role is onsite with no remote work options.

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
  • Position patients
  • Wear radiation detection equipment to acquire data for use by nuclear medicine physicians in the diagnosis of disease
  • Record and process results of procedures
  • Apply radiation protection measures
  • Explain procedures and side effects of radiation
  • Record and process patient data
