A regional health authority in Nanaimo seeks an X-ray Combined Technologist to produce diagnostic radiographs and perform procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in a computerized environment and a commitment to patient safety. Reporting to the Supervisor or designate, the X-ray Combined Technologist works in a computerized environment, producing diagnostic radiographs as assigned and carrying out diagnostic procedures either independently or in collaboration with a radiologist or other physician; applies radiation safety principles and practices to protect patients, staff, and the general public; and completes required documentation and administrative tasks.
Graduation from a recognized combined Laboratory and X-ray Technology Program, and one (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
