Job description

Lake Ridge is a growing community shaped around the life and mission of Jesus. We long to be a church where worship is not an event, it’s a way of being. We are becoming a people rooted in Jesus, formed slowly in community, and committed to offering beauty for the sake of our neighbours. We’re searching for a Worship Arts Pastor to help us cultivate this life.

Who You Are
  • You love Jesus deeply and yearn for worship to be a tangible expression of adoration.
  • You see worship as spiritual formation, not performance.
  • You believe a community of artists can shepherd souls.
  • You treasure beauty as a doorway to encounter.
  • You know that creativity can be prayer.

This is not simply a music role. It’s a pastoral invitation to curate a worshiping culture, one that is deepening, intentional, and spacious.

Your Heart

You are a worship leader and a pastor.

  • Your first love is Jesus, and you long for his Kingdom to come.
  • You carry a tenderness for people and delight in helping them express their heart-song
  • You are rooted in Scripture and cherish the richness of our spiritual heritage.
  • You love to make things that are true and beautiful.
  • You are not in a hurry, but value patient urgency.
Your Work With Us
Worship
  • Gently steward the worship life of our whole community, shaping gatherings that form us in the story of Christ, bridging divides and inviting a diverse community into life together.
  • Lead our music team with warmth and humility, inviting participation over performance.
  • Collaborate with pastoral leadership and serve as a key voice to shape our creative and liturgical life.
Arts
  • Cultivate a creative community—nurturing musicians, artists, storytellers, and sound technicians in both craft and soul.
Marketing
  • Let your creative heart set the tone for our communications.
  • Guide our brand, website, social media, and publications with clarity and beauty. This work involves planning, preparation, and stewardship. You love to see things through.
What You Bring
  • A heart that knows “Christ in me.”
  • Skill in leading worship with voice, instrument, and band
  • A pastor’s warmth and a creator’s imagination
  • Experience guiding volunteers who serve from the heart
  • Thoughtfulness about liturgy, Scripture, and spiritual formation
  • A desire to root yourself here, with us

Training in theology, worship, music, and the arts is welcome. Experience with marketing and nurturing an arts collective is a gift. If your journey has been more winding, and your background weaves together threads from many disciplines, we also see that as a strength. You will need to pursue ministerial credentialing in the Evangelical Covenant Church in Canada. We will walk with you in that.

The Details
  • Full-time (35 hours/week)
  • Salary is based on experience and education
  • Hybrid work model: Tuesdays in-office
  • Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check required
