Job summary

Morson Edge (Canada) in Pickering is seeking an experienced Workplan Writer/Assessing Specialist to support nuclear project execution. The role emphasizes OPG procedures, work planning, and inspection/test planning within a regulated environment.

You will lead workplan development, prepare detailed work packages (lift plans, confined space plans), and manage ITPs through review and approvals, collaborating with engineering, construction, and QA to ensure compliant, on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with OPG Work Planning (Preparation / Review / Approval).
• Hands-on experience in Work Package development (lift plans, FME plans, confined space plans).
• Extensive experience preparing, reviewing, and approving Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced Workplan Writer/Assessing Specialist to support nuclear project execution activities in Pickering. This role is well-suited for candidates with strong expertise in OPG procedures, work planning, and inspection/test planning within regulated environments.

This position is highly focused on ITP and work package development, supporting engineering and project execution teams in a structured nuclear setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Workplan preparation, review, and approvals
• Develop detailed Work Packages, including:
• Lift Plans
• Confined Space Plans
• Prepare, review, and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
• Ensure all documentation aligns with OPG standards and nuclear quality requirements
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and QA teams to support project delivery

Mandatory Requirements

• Experience working with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) or a vendor supporting OPG
• Strong background in OPG Work Planning (Preparation / Review / Approval)
• Hands-on experience with Work Package preparation (lift plans, FME plans, confined space plans, etc.)
• Extensive experience with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) (Preparation / Review / Approval)
