Job summary

Best Buy Canada is seeking a Workforce Management Specialist to support labour management strategy across stores. You will provide expertise in scheduling, reporting, tool optimization, and business analysis, using data modeling to help leadership manage staffing and optimize processes.

This remote-first role enables collaboration with the head office in Vancouver, BC, with in-person interactions when needed to drive strategic initiatives and optimize workforce performance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in Retail and Store Operations.
• 1–3 years experience in workforce management and scheduling practices.
• 1–3 years experience in Reporting and Analytics.
• Advanced Excel, PowerBI, PowerApps, and PowerAutomate experience.
• Intermediate experience with SQL, Python, Machine Learning.
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Act as a subject matter expert around labour & scheduling processes.
• Monitor dashboards to identify quality issues and gaps and troubleshoot.
• Support time and motion studies, SOP changes, and development.
• Collaborate with senior team members to develop reports and tools for store and individual performance management, labour capacity, utilization, productivity, and related KPIs.
• Continuously evolve the planning processes by keeping up to date with industry standards, trends, and analytics tools.
• Support day to day workforce operations and strategy functions as required.

Workforce Management Specialist - Workforce Strategy & Optimization

Are you forward-thinking and always looking to establish better systems and processes? As a workforce management specialist, you will be responsible for providing specialized expertise in scheduling, reporting, tool optimization and business analysis to support the company’s labour management strategy. With data modeling techniques, you'll help 'paint a picture' for leadership to better manage staffing and optimize processes across different areas of the store to set them up for success. We practice a remote first working model, leveraging in person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative and social purposes.

What you’ll do:

• Act as a subject matter expert around labour & scheduling processes
• Support the department's inbox - identify, troubleshoot, and fix quality / discrepancy issues and gaps by monitoring existing dashboards
• Support ongoing delivery of projects that require time and motion study analysis, standard operational procedure changes and development
• Collaborate with senior team members to develop reports and tools for store and individual performance management, labour capacity, utilization, productivity, and related KPIs
• Continuously evolve the planning processes by keeping up to date with industry standards, trends, and analytics tools
• Support day to day workforce operations and strategy functions as required

What we’re looking for:

Annualized Compensation Range

Annualized Compensation Range $57,000.00 - $65,000.00 Starting pay offered will consider skills and experience. Your pay can grow as you build your career with us.
