Overview

We’re looking for a Workday Analyst, Audit & Reporting to join our Talent Operations, Systems and Insights team. You will play a crucial role in transforming HR data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. This individual will extract, highlight data gaps, analyze, and visualize data from Workday and other HR systems. They will collaborate closely with People Business Partners, leadership, and other stakeholders to provide data-driven recommendations that improve HR processes, enhance the employee experience, and support business objectives.

What you’ll be doing
Reporting and Visualization
  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate people data insights to stakeholders.
  • Extract data from Workday and other HR systems using various reporting tools and techniques.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Develop end-to-end solutions to reporting requirements and change requests (i.e. design, build and test reports)
  • Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to workforce demographics, performance, compensation, turnover, and other HR metrics.
  • Interpret data and use it to determine HR program effectiveness. Contribute to establish KPIs to assess new feature releases.
Data Governance and Integrity
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing data quality checks and validation procedures.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures.
Audit
  • Perform audit procedures and analyze findings to identify and assess control deficiencies.
  • Work with management to develop and implement remediation plans to address control deficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors as needed to ensure scalable and consistent audit processes.
Collaboration and Support
  • Partner with People Business Partners and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide relevant insights.
  • Support HR initiatives by providing data-driven recommendations and analysis.
  • Stay up-to-date on Workday reporting and analytics capabilities and best practices.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to promote data literacy and support the development of best reporting practices.
What you need to bring

We\'re looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • 3+ years of experience working with HR data and analytics
  • Workday experience & knowledge of calculated fields, creating advanced and matrix reports, dashboards
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Statistics, Data Science, or any combination of training and experience relevant for the role
  • Strong understanding of people data metrics and reporting best practices
  • Advanced proficiency in HR reporting tools
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Deep knowledge of configuring custom reports and handling large data sets
  • Experience maintaining data integrity across enterprise HR systems and conducting audits
  • Strong understanding of HR programs and cyclical activities in the employee lifecycle
  • Strong communication skills in English. As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.

  • Background working as an HR Business Analyst or Data Analyst
  • Knowledge of a data visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Looker, etc.)
