Job summary

Powell Canada Inc. in Edmonton, AB, is seeking a Wiring Technician to support the Manufacturing Supervisor in the Wiring department. You will assist with electrical part installation, wiring, crimping, and quality control in a safety-driven environment.

The role requires basic math, ability to read prints and drawings, and a willingness to follow ISO procedures while working with a collaborative team on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 0–1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Basic math calculations ability.
• Ability to read a tape measure (fraction to decimal and vice versa).
• Safety training certificates are an asset.

Responsibilities

• Electrical part installation such as relays, meters, switches.
• Wiring: Anchoring, tie-wrapping, routing, push buttons, flagging, and wire tagging.
• Crimping and Wire/Cable Stripping.
• Promotes a safety culture and attends safety meetings.
• Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identify risks to quality.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Other duties as required.
