Job summary

ANDRITZ Canada in Chambly, Quebec, is seeking a Wiring Technician to install and wire electrical cabinets according to engineering drawings. You will link cabling for protection and control in hydroelectric plants and verify compliance with CSA/UL standards before final installation.

Qualifications

• Must have DES & DEP in electromechanics of automated systems or equivalent training.
• Good manual dexterity and ability to read electrical schematics/drawings.
• Ability to work in a team, show initiative, meet deadlines and ensure quality.

Responsibilities

• Install parts and equipment in the electrical control box according to engineering drawings.
• Install cabling linking components for protection and control in hydroelectric plants.
• Carry out verifications per CSA/UL standards before final inspection and installation.
• Support a safe, efficient production environment.

The wiring technician will install and wire parts and equipment in our electrical cabinets according to engineering drawings. All in compliance with CSA/UL standards and customer requirements. We manufacture custom panels in our Chambly workshop. This position reports to the Production Manager.

• Carry out verifications according to CSA/UL standards before final inspection and installation in plants or industries;
