The National Wireless Implementation team manages all wireless construction in Canada including macro, in-building, small cell & upgrade wireless deployments. This team is engaged, energetic, creative & high performing.

What you’ll do

  • Manage end-to-end Wireless Build Sites:
  • Define technical scopes of work for various types of wireless build projects (macro, in-building, small cell etc.)
  • Great understanding on the process for site acquisition, engineering, and wireless site construction.
  • Request, review & action engineering drawings, tower analysis and antennas/cabling schematics
  • Site inspection as required to ensure scope, quality and schedule of work adhere to TELUS standards. Ability to drive to sites outside of urban areas.
  • Effectively manage change requests on projects
  • Manage project risks on a fast paced environment
  • Ensure adherence to all TELUS construction, installation & safety standards
  • View problems as opportunities for improvement
  • Partner with other team members across TELUS to drive innovation in our processes, standards and/or technology
  • Pair your technical & project expertise with your business acumen to bring innovative ideas to fruition
Qualifications

What you bring

  • Expert at managing multiple, complex technical wireless construction sites to completion on time, budget & scope
  • Respected in the construction industry for adhering to the highest in standard on wireless build delivery
  • Adept at managing external vendor contracts & relationships
  • Composed & poised when interacting with external partners, including landlords
  • Recognized as a strong collaborative team player
  • Known as a strategic & creative thinker who drives innovative ideas & solutions in wireless builds
  • Valued for being a highly engaged team member who brings out the best in their team
  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience in the wireless building sector
  • Bilingual fluency in French and English

Great-to-haves

  • 5 years of experience in building wireless networks
  • Experience with SAP
  • Post graduate degree (Master in Engineering or Business)

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000

Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 12%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefitssuch as:
