Job summary

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is offering a winter seasonal road maintenance role across Alberta from October 1st to April 30th with potential for year round employment. You will operate snowplows and heavy equipment, perform highway maintenance, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Successful completion pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Class 1, 2 or 3 driver's license with air endorsement
• Clear 3-year driver's abstract
• Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset, training provided

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)

Ledcor Highways Ltd. is offering winter seasonal road maintenance opportunities across Alberta from October 1st to April 30th with potential for year round employment.

We are seeking enthusiastic, team-oriented individuals to help keep Alberta’s highways safe. If you hold a Class 1, 2 or Class 3 license and want to work for a company that values safety, community, and career growth, we want to hear from you!

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
• Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
• Work outside in all weather conditions

Qualifications:

Work Conditions:

• As we respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
• Benefits and RSPs provided by CLAC

Rates & Premiums:

• Will be provided a base hourly rate of 26.75 to $31/hr based on experience
• Eligible to receive premiums of $5/hour, when operating a tandem or triaxle snow plow
• Eligible to receive premiums of $3/hour, when operating a 2 or 3 ton plow truck
• Operators will be eligible to receive a premium of $1.50/hr when operating Class 1 equipment
