Job summary

McGill University’s Ingram School of Nursing seeks a graduate teaching assistant for NUR1 236 002, 003 & 535 003, NUR 339 005, 006. You will assist with course delivery, monitor discussions on myCourses, and respond to inquiries while maintaining confidentiality and professional standards.

The role requires current Masters or Doctoral student status, preferred teaching experience, and eligibility to work in Canada.

Qualifications

• Current Masters or Doctoral student at McGill.
• Graduate teaching experience is preferred and an asset.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates mastery of the course material, including physical assessment techniques, health history taking, and clinical reasoning concepts.
• Monitors and responds to student questions and group discussions on the myCourses discussion boards, ensuring timely and accurate responses
• Responds to general course-related and logistical inquiries via myCourses, McGill email, or other McGill-supported platforms.
• May contribute to the development and facilitation of optional recorded review sessions prior to major evaluations (e.g., midterm and final).
• Supports faculty with posting announcements to students on myCourses, as needed, to support learning and engagement.
