Job summary

Banque Nationale du Canada is offering a Winter 2027 internship in Corporate Finance in Montreal. You will contribute to financial analysis, process optimization and the development of tools that support strategic decisions, leveraging finance, data and analytics.

Interns join a large Finance team and will work on analytics environments, dashboards, and forecasting measures while collaborating with colleagues across diverse expertise.

Qualifications

• 1st or 2nd university cycle student in data, finance, mathematics or business analytics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey complex ideas concisely.
• Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of AI concepts.
• Programming knowledge, e.g., Python, SQL or VBA.
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of information and develop innovative solutions.
• Ability to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Improve analytics environment using SQL, SAP and Excel.
• Set up or improve Excel analysis tools and develop dashboards.
• Participate in capital monitoring calculations.
• Develop liquidity monitoring measures and forecasting tools.
• Analyze the bank's revenues and expenses at different levels.
• Optimize disclosure and management analysis with multiple business lines.
• Automate tasks related to real estate strategy using Power Platform.
