Job summary

Couple chef restaurant and catering services in Winnipeg, MB is hiring a Server – food and beverage services to join our team. The role offers permanent part-time employment leading to full-time with shifts including day, evening, and weekends.

The successful candidate will be customer-focused, capable of handling alcohol service and light wine guidance, and ready to start at the earliest opportunity. Salary is $15.60 per hour, with 25–35 hours bi-weekly.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related experience.
• Smart Serve, Food and Beverage Server Training, Safe Food Handling Certificate.
• Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable, organized and flexible, team player.

Responsibilities

• Address customer complaints or concerns in a timely, courteous manner.
• Prepare and serve specialty food at customers’ tables.
• Present bills and accept payments (cash, credit/debit, travellers cheques, or room billings).
• Describe menu items and daily specials to customers.
• Enforce provincial liquor laws and regulations.
• Advise on menu selections and wine pairings.
• Balance cash and maintain accurate sales records.
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
• Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• Provide excellent customer service to all patrons.
