Job summary

ENERCON in North America is seeking skilled wind turbine maintenance technicians to execute routine tasks, diagnose issues, and perform repairs across Canada. You will participate in preventive maintenance, document work digitally, and travel to wind parks as needed to ensure reliable energy production.

The role requires a technical degree or certification in electromechanics or wind turbine maintenance, plus practical maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or certification in electromechanics, electricity, or wind turbine maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance.
• Certification as a journeyman electrician with a Red Seal is a valuable asset.
• Basic proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Execute routine maintenance tasks on wind turbine systems.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical system issues; implement repairs or modifications.
• Collaborate with maintenance team on preventive maintenance schedules.
• Utilize diagnostic tools for efficient issue resolution.
• Document work performed and materials used digitally via tablets/smartphones.
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times.
• Contribute to health and safety program improvements.
• Attend ENERCON training on health, safety and maintenance.
• Inspect and maintain ENERCON vehicles before use.
• Travel to assist wind parks in region or across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Executing routine maintenance tasks on wind turbine systems.
• Conducting inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal performance.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical system issues, proposing and implementing necessary repairs or modifications.
• Collaborating with the maintenance team to implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques for efficient issue resolution.
• Document work performed and equipment/materials used digitally via tablets and smartphones.
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of health and safety programs.
• Attending ongoing ENERCON training sessions covering health and safety, maintenance techniques, and updated work methods.
• Inspecting and maintain ENERCON vehicles before use.
• Traveling to assist wind parks in the region or across Canada.
• Perform all daily tasks in strict compliance with ENERCON's quality and safety standards.

Requirements

• Technical degree or certification in electromechanics, electricity, or wind turbine maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical or mechanical maintenance.
• Certification as a journeyman electrician with a Red Seal is considered a valuable asset.
• Basic proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office applications.
• Valid driver's license.
• Availability for overtime, weekend on-call duty, and occasional travel.
• Ability to travel for planned periods of a few days to perform annual maintenance at other sites.

• Competence in using medium voltage switching devices and working on transformers.
• In-depth understanding of personal protective equipment (PPE) with strict adherence to industry standards.
