Keolis Commuter Services seeks a Transit Operator for Whistler, starting as a winter-season role with on-site work. You will transport passengers across routes, handle fares, and maintain safety while communicating clearly with the public.

Training is provided with full pay, and wage progression occurs after hours, up to the stated cap. The position emphasizes customer service, punctuality, and teamwork in a dynamic resort environment.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 1 or 2 driver's license with air brake endorsement; upgrades considered.
• Driver's abstract with ≤5 demerit points and safe driving record.
• Strong customer service, conflict resolution and decision making skills.
• Ability to understand, speak, and write English clearly for communication and reporting.
• No criminal convictions or pending charges related to Operator position.
• Knowledge of Whistler area is an asset.
• Willingness to undergo interviews, medical, drug/alcohol screening and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport passengers on assigned routes in Whistler, Squamish and Pemberton.
• Adhere to policies, traffic laws and schedules; interact with customers courteously.
• Make announcements and collect fares; ensure valid passes are used.
• Manage passenger behavior and resolve issues quickly and calmly.
• Drive safely under all weather conditions and be prepared for incidents.
• Complete vehicle and incident reports; follow emergency procedures.
