Job description

West Africa Missionary Movement Specialist

The West Africa Missionary Movement Team in Côte d'Ivoire is partnering with the evangelical national church to motivate and equip nationals for near- and cross-cultural ministry that multiplies disciples, churches, missionaries, and leaders. The primary focus will be to help mobilize, equip, and send African missionaries.

The Missionary Movement Specialist will assist in the planning and execution of training activities and events. He/she will report to the Team Leader and will also work closely with the Senior Trainer, Administrator, and the leadership of Village Church Planting (VCP).

Responsibilities
  1. Assist in the planning and execution of training activities and events, including:
    • Establishing a training schedule
    • Securing training venues
    • Securing trainers
    • Communicating with students and stakeholders
    • Ensuring smooth training operations
    • Communicating with students, partner leaders, and graduates
  2. Assist with the organization and oversight of training records.
  3. Assist with the financial matters of the team.
  4. Incorporate the compassion of Christ into all tasks.
Skills and Education
  1. Introductory training and experience in missiology and cross-cultural missionary endeavors.
  2. Administrative experience relevant to the role is preferred.
  3. Organized yet flexible in work approach.
  4. Cross-cultural competency.
  5. Bilingual in French (at least speech emergence level or better) and English.
  6. Ability to network effectively with partners.
  7. Previous cross-cultural missionary experience is desirable.
  8. Ability to travel in rigorous conditions.
