Qualifications

  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Overview

As a Wellbeing and Regulatory Specialist (12 Month Contract) at Kellanova Canada, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the development of nutrition labelling information, claims, and communications to support category and brand marketing strategies. You will collaborate with the Canadian Innovation Team, Launch Program Managers and Food Developers to bring innovation projects to the marketplace, as well as assessing potential innovation products from the US and other countries to ensure compliance with Canadian food and nutrition regulations. This is a hybrid role based out of our Mississauga Head Office.

Responsibilities
  • Nutrition Labelling & Regulatory Compliance – Develop nutrition and ingredient labelling information for assigned product categories, brands and projects to be compliant with government regulations, policies and company guidelines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Liaise with Wellbeing & Regulatory team colleagues, brand marketing and legal to identify and develop consumer-driven claims to promote brand growth, which are consistent with sound wellbeing & nutrition principles and Canadian food and nutrition regulations.
  • Nutrition Data Management – Research and respond to nutrient, ingredient, and recipe related information requests for assigned brands to support internal business operations and processes, consumer inquiries and customer requests.
Qualifications
  • Post Secondary education in Food Science, Nutrition or related field.
  • Experience in a similar position in the Consumer Products Goods industry.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Food and Drug Regulations and Safe Food for Canadians Regulations a strong asset.
  • Experience in information management and/or data analysis is an asset.
  • Detail oriented with a strong aptitude for analysis of data, in addition to time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel in particular), SAP and various internal databases is required.
