Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a skilled welder/millwright to support operations across machinery, heavy equipment, and facility infrastructure. You will perform welding, fabrication, and maintenance with a strict focus on safety and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality structural welding, repairs, and custom metal fabrication using SMAW (Stick), GMAW (MIG), and GTAW (TIG) processes on various metals and industrial equipment.

Mechanical Maintenance: Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy machinery, hydraulic systems, pneumatic equipment, and mechanical assemblies.

Millwright Duties: Align, assemble, install, and dismantle industrial machinery, pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and structural steel components.

Preventive Maintenance: Execute routine preventive maintenance schedules to minimize operational downtime and extend equipment life.

Safety & Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety policies, standard operating procedures, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO) protocols, and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.

Qualifications:

CWB / Red Seal Welder Certification or equivalent journey-level experience.

Proven experience performing millwright tasks, mechanical troubleshooting, and machinery maintenance.

Proficiency in reading welding blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical schematics.

Strong problem-solving skills, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and an uncompromised commitment to workplace safety.

Valid driver's license and ability to perform physical tasks required in an industrial yard or shop environment.
