A leading energy services company in Lloydminster seeks experienced welder's helpers for a 5-month project starting January 6, 2026. Candidates must have prior oilfield or welder's helper experience and a valid H2S Alive ticket. Responsibilities include assisting skilled trades persons, interpreting Acorn drawings, and various labor activities. Applicants should be able to lift 50 pounds and pass drug testing. Shifts are 14/7 with 12-hour days required.

Responsibilities

• Assist skilled trades persons and perform labor activities.
• Interpret Acorn drawings.
• Help fit pipe spools.
• Lift, move, and hold workpieces.

• Connect hoses from hand torches to cylinders.
• Start engines on electric generators.
• Attach grappling equipment for crane use.

Description

Canadian Plain's welder's helpers assist skilled trades persons and perform labour activities in and around the project site.

Position Details

• Candidates must be local to Lloydminster
• 14/7 shift
• 12‑hour days
• 5‑month project starting on January 6, 2026
• No LOA provided
• FR PPE is required

Core Accountabilities

• Interpret Acorn drawings
• Help fit pipe spools
• Lift, move, and hold or clamp workpieces to tables, into jigs, or into position as directed manually or by using hoists, pry bars, wrenches, hammers, and wedges.
• Cleans workpieces to remove impurities, such as slag, rust, and grease using wire brushes, portable grinders, hand scrapers, or chemical solutions.
• Connects hoses from hand torches to oxygen and fuel gas cylinders or connects cables from power sources to electrode holders and workpieces or fixtures.
• Starts engines on electric generators
• Removes tags or marks and moves finished work.
• May attach grappling equipment to objects for moving by crane
