A staffing agency is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter for custom metal fabrications in Burlington, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience, including MIG and TIG welding. Responsibilities include creating fabrications from drawings, planning parts for welding, and performing quality inspections. Job Title: Welder/Fitter - Custom Metal Fabrications

Location: Burlington, Ontario - Mainway & Walkers Line

Rate of Pay: $30-35/hour depending on experience

Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am-4:45pm & Friday, 7:30am-3:45pm

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Hire

Our client in Burlington is hiring for an experienced Skilled Welder/Fitter or Fabricator. Their company has provided custom welding and fabrication services since 1960! This is a long-term opportunity with a busy fabrication shop with lots of room to grow. We are looking for candidates with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create Custom Fabrications from drawings
• Plan/fit parts to meet required configurations and positions for welding
• Highly experienced with MIG and TIG Welding, on Steel, Stainless, and Aluminum
• Use of hand and power tools, and other machining equipment
• Use of forklifts and overhead cranes
• Use of various finishing techniques as required for specific jobs
• Complete quality inspections
• Keep a tidy workspace
• Other general duties as assigned

Candidate Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience required in similar fabricating role
• 5+ years of MIG welding experience required
• Experience with TIG, Stainless, and Aluminum preferred
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Experience in reading, interpreting, and understanding shop drawings
• Ability to produce high-quality work and work under minimal supervision
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proven time management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Works well with others and aids peers when needed
