Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, part of Johnson Controls, is expanding its Edmonton-area manufacturing teams. The Welder Apprentice works under a Journeyperson to fabricate prototypes, jigs and metal structures using GTAW, GMAW, FCAW and SMAW while following welding procedures.

It’s a fast-paced role in a safety-conscious environment. You’ll interpret blueprints, adhere to 5S/workflow standards, and support continuous improvement across production cells.

Qualificações

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and welding symbols.
• Familiar with GMAW, FCAW, GTAW and SMAW welding processes.
• Commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship.

Responsabilidades

• Read, interpret and apply blueprints and welding specs under supervision.
• Set up and operate welding equipment to join metal parts per procedures.
• Perform flame-cutting and thermal cutting operations as required.
• Assist with fabrication equipment and maintain documentation for quality checks.

High School Diploma or equivalent

Registered as Apprentice Welder with Alberta Apprenticeship & Industry Training

500 hours welding experience

Able to obtain CSA W47.1/W47.2 certifications
