Job summary

C and M Anchor Solutions Ltd is seeking a full-time, on-site welder in St. Catharines, ON. The job requires 1 year to less than 2 years of welding experience and a secondary school diploma. Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma required.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years welding experience.
  • Ability to read welding specifications and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret welding process specifications.
  • Operate manual, semi-automatic or automated welding equipment.
  • Read welding drawings, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds for standards compliance.
  • Operate flame-cutting equipment and metal shaping tools.
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal as needed.
  • Handle oxy-acetylene cutting and arc-cutting tasks.
  • Determine weldability of materials and select proper setup.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts using preset welding machines.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
