Job summary

Wasea Metal Industries Ltd. in Alberta seeks Welders and Fabricators for full-time roles at our shop. The positions require certified journeyman fitters or a progressing 3rd-year apprentice with CWB MCAW/FCAW credentials.

Aluminum welding is preferred, and candidates should demonstrate the ability to read blueprints and welding symbols accurately. We value reliable, safety-minded workers who can operate independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Journeyman fitter certification or currently a 3rd-year apprentice.
• CWB MCAW or FCAW certification required.
• Experience reading blueprints and weld symbols.

• Able to work independently and in a team with minimal supervision.
• Must have reliable transportation to our shop.

What We’re Looking For:

• Certified Journeyman Fitter or 3rd Year Apprentice
• Current CWB certification in MCAW or FCAW (all positions)
• Strong experience reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and material cut lists
• Experience in aluminum welding preferred
• Reliable, productive, and safety-focused
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
• Must have reliable transportation to our shop (located off Glenmore Trail & Range Road 283, south of Chestermere, AB)
