Job summary

Webber Infrastructure Management Canada Limited is seeking a skilled operator for seasonal road maintenance. The role focuses on snow removal, highway upkeep, signage, and safety compliance.

You will operate heavy equipment, assist during summer repairs, and manage traffic control at work zones with a team. User environment includes variable weather and required safety protocols; you must hold a DZ license and be willing for overtime, on-call rotations, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Ontario Class DZ driver's license.
  • Experience in road maintenance or construction is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Winter: remove snow and ice using snow removal equipment and salt/maintain roads and bridges.
  • Summer: maintain and repair highway surfaces, signs, guardrails, fencing, lighting, potholes, striping, reflectors, litter removal.
  • Set up and remove traffic control; transport crew/equipment to sites.
  • Be available for emergency response rotations, evenings, weekends and holidays.

This position requires a highly developed sense of safety awareness and perceptive ability. You must have the ability to recognize hazards inherent in routine and non-routine tasks and make adjustments to avoid loss, injury or accident. You must be able to communicate with co-workers safety instructions. You must be able to think clearly and focus on your safety in your immediate surroundings, while using tools and equipment, while driving or operating equipment. You will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to your job.The pay range for this position is $26.50 to $28.50 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory .
