Job description

On our client’s behalf, The Warrington Group is confidentially seeking a dedicated Web Developer to join our client’s growing team for a Full-time, In-office position in Halifax. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building, optimizing + maintaining high-performing websites that support e-commerce growth. While Shopify experience is considered a strong asset, it’s not required, we welcome skilled developers with a solid foundation in web technologies who are eager to learn + expand into e-commerce.

Responsibilities
  • Own the day-to-day management of the Shopify store.
  • Build, test, and deploy custom themes, Liquid templates, and app integrations.
  • Develop and optimize product pages, landing pages, and promotional sections to maximize conversion.
  • Improve site speed, security, and overall performance.
  • Ensure site architecture is scalable and optimized for both B2C and B2B ecommerce growth.
  • Manage inventory integrations and product catalog updates.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and manage third-party integrations (ERP, CRM, analytics, payment gateways).
  • Maintain web accessibility and compliance with best practices.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure product launches and campaigns are technically supported.
  • Provide regular analytics reporting and recommend improvements to conversion funnels.

  • Strong proficiency in Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with Shopify + Shopify Plus + custom theme development is an asset.

  • Knowledge of SEO best practices for ecommerce websites.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Benefits
  • Health Spending Account (HSA) for $500/year with a 1-year max rollover.
  • All employees are eligible for our December Bonus/Profit Share Program (which is approximately 5–10% of Gross salary)
    • This is in lieu of an RRSP etc so most people use it for that.
  • Vacation, 10 days + 3 personal/sick
