Do you enjoy developing cloud-based solutions to complex problems? Air Canada Digital team is building a fast-moving development team to build enterprise applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-oriented software developer to analyze and develop leading-edge solutions. With our agile development teams, the candidate should be self-driven, highly motivated, innovative, and ready to deliver.

The Developer will report to the Product Manager, Digital Development.

Responsibilities:

• Writing well-designed, testable, and efficient code, including unit test cases.
• Understanding requirements and making changes to applications and infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting and debugging to optimize performance and code quality, and identifying system issues.
• Assisting in designing solutions, APIs, and integration flows while applying best practices.
• Providing documentation and technical inputs.
• Collaborating with clients and BSA to understand requirements.
• Estimating effort, assessing risks, and managing dependencies.
• Supporting code repositories and DevOps deployment processes.
• Collaborating with teams to resolve development and deployment issues.
• Working with product managers to ensure solutions align with product vision.
• Reviewing code and designs with developers and architects.
• Monitoring integration platforms and providing technical support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in enterprise software development.
• Experience with Node.js in cloud/serverless environments.
• Experience with Microservices, Event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and Mulesoft is a plus.
• Knowledge of AWS serverless technologies such as Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, etc.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and PL/SQL; NoSQL experience is advantageous.
