About The Role

As ATB's next Wealth Advisor, you will be working under the leadership of the Regional Director and will be responsible for the investment advice and holistic financial planning needs of existing and prospective clients. This is a sales-driven, client-focused role that blends advisory expertise with relationship management. This includes the development of robust external centers of influences coupled with a primary branch network to further enhance the customer experience at ATB. You will be working with a team of advisors and private investment counselors to deliver a customer obsessed wealth experience, drive strong relationships with partners. Within the branch, you will coach and influence advisors, foster a culture of collaboration, and contribute to an exceptional client experience that reflects ATB's commitment to helping Albertans make their time richer, happiness deeper, and aspirations closer.

This role supports our branches in Red Deer & Rocky Mountain House.

Accountabilities
  • Deliver exceptional financial advice and planning by deeply understanding each client’s goals, priorities, and life stage — helping them build wealth, protect what matters, and achieve their dreams.
  • Drive growth through sales and new client acquisition, actively prospecting and developing relationships with existing clients, referrals, and centers of influence within the community.
  • Partner and collaborate across ATB, working closely with branch teams, business banking, and Senior Financial Advisors to connect clients with the right experts and solutions for a seamless One ATB experience.
  • Champion client experience by providing trusted, personalized guidance that simplifies financial decisions and builds long‑term confidence and loyalty.
  • Be a visible leader within your community, engaging in local events, sponsorships, and networking opportunities that strengthen ATB’s presence and commitment to helping Albertans thrive.
  • Coach and mentor branch colleagues to elevate financial literacy, build referral confidence, and support a culture of teamwork and performance.
  • Leverage technology and data insights to manage your pipeline, track progress, and deliver efficient, impactful client interactions.
  • Leverage specialized experts to help provide trusted advice in a smart, simple and helpful way that is personalized to each and every client.
  • Deeply understand our clients and commit to always having their best interests at heart. You will work towards earning the trust of our clients, to not just advise clients but to challenge them to make the best financial decisions possible.
  • Strive to make our clients time richer, happiness deeper and aspirations closer as we ensure that they are supported throughout their journey. Help them to connect the dots between their wealth and aspirations and support them at every stage of their lives.
Skills, Experience & Requirements
  • 5 years of sales and customer experience in the financial services industry (preferably Wealth Management)
  • Immediate CIRO registration through one of the following:
    • Currently a Registered Representative (RR) through CIRO
    • Completion of Canadian Securities Course, Conduct, Practices Handbook Course, and Wealth Management Essentials within the last 3 years;

  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Economics, Business or a related field (equivalent combination of experience and education will be considered).
  • Completed or working towards a financial planning designation would be considered an asset.
  • Effective relationship building, communication and discovery skills. This will help you to establish relationships with various centers of influences including branches, your advisors team and other teams across the organization.
