Job summary

RM of Taché seeks a Utilities Manager to lead the two water and wastewater utilities in Landmark and Lorette, plus maintenance of municipal buildings. You will guide staff, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with provincial and federal laws, while coordinating with contractors and external coordinators.

The role requires a Class I water certification and senior supervisory experience, with strong leadership, budgeting, and communication skills to serve the RM community.

Qualifications

• Minimum Class I Water Treatment, Water Distribution, Wastewater Treatment and Wastewater Collection Provincial Operator Certification.
• Management, supervision, and leadership courses preferred.
• At least five (5) years’ experience in a senior supervisory position.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Experience interpreting Federal and Provincial Legislation.
• Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Excellent communications and ability to work with RM Taché, public, Councillors and government.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to staff and contractors in Utilities to meet budget and program goals.
• Prepare reports, statistics, and budget documents for management, council, and the public.
• Determine work procedures, schedules, and workflow to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure staff are trained in water and wastewater systems and safety regulations.
• Maintain records and compliance with regulations and by-laws.
• Oversee contracts, external coordinators, and service installations for development.
