Job summary

Envirosearch Operations Inc. seeks a Water/Wastewater Treatment Operator to maintain plants, collection, and distribution systems to ensure a safe water supply and compliant effluent discharge.

The role covers monitoring processes, sampling, dosing, and preventive maintenance along a travel-heavy route along the 401 corridor between Mallorytown and the Quebec Border. You will work with a team, mentor others, and respond to emergencies while upholding safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• MECP Water and Sewage licenses required or in training.
• Level 1 Water Treatment and Level 1 Wastewater Licenses preferred.
• Experience in a related field is an asset.
• Mechanically inclined with motors, electrical or plumbing is an asset.
• Ability to mentor others to work as part of a team.
• Comfort with documenting observations and reporting.
• Valid G driver's license and own reliable vehicle.
• Ability to safely handle chemicals and lift 25 kg.
• Strong observation and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent MS Office and mobile app proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor treatment processes including screening, aeration, clarification and disinfection.
• Perform sampling and onsite process analysis of water and wastewater.
• Calculate dosing rates and monitor to maintain target dosing.
• Inspect, service and repair plant components and control systems.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and supervise subcontractors.
• Complete logs and work orders via electronic systems.
• Communicate site changes and contribute to safety risk mitigation.
• Respond to emergency calls and be available during duty periods.
• Contribute to quality control and quality assurance goals.
