Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Civil or Mechanical Engineering EIT to join our highly successful water practice out of our Regina, Saskatoon or Winnipeg offices.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis, detailed studies, review plans, and process design tasks associated with municipal water, wastewater and stormwater systems with a focus on pipeline structures, under the supervision of a project manager and senior water conveyance engineers.
  • Explore municipal engineering, project work will include pipeline design, construction assessment, and rehabilitation.
  • Support construction projects with field site visits and construction observation duties within the province of Saskatchewan.
  • Writing and editing technical reports and engineering studies.
  • Preparing plans and specifications for water, wastewater and stormwater facilities and conveyance pipelines.
  • Coordinating with engineers and technical staff to ensure that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
  • Meeting with clients, municipal officials, and contractors to review project needs and coordinate field conditions.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Must be a registered Engineer-in-Training or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Interest in water, wastewater, and municipal engineering.
  • Possess a strong analytical skillset and ability to apply first principals Engineering.
  • Experience with design and/or construction related to one of water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater management facilities is preferred.
  • Must have strong computer skills with background in Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD.
  • Be a self‑motivated individual, possessing strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
Education and Experience
  • Must have 1 to 3 years of experience in civil, environmental or mechanical engineering with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental Systems Engineering.
