A local government agency in Lake Country, BC, is looking for a Water Quality Assistant Summer Student to support the Water Quality and utilities crew from May 1 to August 31, 2026. Responsibilities include collecting water samples and maintaining monitoring equipment. Candidates must have a valid driver's license and preferably be enrolled in science-related fields. This role offers a competitive salary of $23.20 per hour plus additional benefits.
The District of Lake Country has an exciting opportunity for a Water Quality Assistant Summer Student based in Lake Country, BC.
The Water Quality Assistant Summer Student will be asked to complete a wide range of tasks in support of the Water Quality and utilities crew.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited:
Training will be provided before any staff is asked to complete a task or operate a piece of equipment.
To qualify for this role, you must possess a valid driver’s license. Steel‑toe boots are required. A first‑aid ticket would be considered an asset. Preference will be given to candidates enrolled in either Water Quality Technology programs or other science‑related fields.
