Job summary

The City of Port Colborne is seeking an Environmental Analyst to support regulatory compliance, data management and reporting. You will conduct technical research, monitor water quality data, coordinate inspections, and support DWQMS and stormwater programs.

This full-time, unionized position offers a 35-hour work week, a wage of $40.94 per hour with benefits and an OMERS Pension Plan. You will contribute to continual improvement and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

  • This role requires an undergraduate degree or higher in an environmental field.
  • Designation CET, C. Tech or A. SC.T. is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience, preferably in water and wastewater, or municipal setting.
  • Valid driver's license (Class G).
  • Strong writing, communication and data management abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains compliance tracking systems and data for annual and regulatory reports.
  • Monitors water quality data, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Analyzes trends in chlorine residuals, turbidity, and distribution parameters.
  • Coordinates inspections and maintains records and documentation.
  • Acts as QMS Representative and DWQMS program lead.
  • Supports training for operators and licence upgrades; assists with energy and stormwater programs.
  • Prepares performance indicators data and annual reporting materials.
