Job summary

A municipal government in Ontario is looking for a Plant Operator to manage the operation and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater treatment systems. The position requires a post-secondary diploma in Environmental Studies and valid Class III and IV certifications. Candidates must have at least three years of relevant experience and the ability to respond to operational demands, including customer complaints related to water quality and service. This is a temporary full-time role with a salary range of $29.48 to $39.51 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years as an operator in water treatment and distribution.
• Possess and maintain valid certifications for water distribution and treatment.
• Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water distribution and wastewater treatment systems.
• Inspect and repair components of water and wastewater systems.
