Job summary
A nonprofit organization supporting First Nations in Ontario is seeking a Water Operator Trainer to provide training for Water Treatment Plant Operators. This role requires at least 5 years of experience in water operations, valid Class II licenses, and strong communication skills. The trainer will schedule training and support operators on-site across Ontario, adhering to local legislation and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the operations of a Class II Water Treatment Plant.
 - Knowledge of Provincial legislation and acts related to water safety.
 
Responsibilities
- Responsible for training First Nation Water Treatment Plant Operators.
 - Coordinate and schedule CEU & OJT training for operators.
 - Support operators to attain higher levels of licensing.
 
Skills
 Proficiency with Microsoft Office database functions
 Effective oral and written communication skills
 Demonstrated computer and mechanical aptitude
 Familiar with operating SCADA, GIS, and CMMS systems
 Ability to read technical drawings
Education
 Valid Class II Water Treatment & Water Distribution Operator licenses
 Ontario Driver's License
