The Opportunity
Under the general guidance and direction of the Supervisor of Waste Collection Services, the Waste Collection Services Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and efficient delivery of municipal solid waste collection services. Specifically, this position ensures the daily execution of curbside collections for the garbage, recyclables, yard waste, and organics waste streams from residential/multi-residential, ICI, and central business sectors. Additionally, this position provides delivery of solid waste collection services to maintain public health and environmental standards in public spaces, parks, sports fields and at special events. Through collaboration with various municipal Sections/Branches/Departments, this position identifies and implements required system modifications to accommodate proper handling and disposal. The Waste Collection Services Coordinator has a key role in ensuring the delivery of an effective customer service program involving multiple modes of communications to ensure customer complaints are addressed and/or resolved.

*Please note that the City has a Hybrid Work Program Policy in place that may allow for a hybrid work arrangement for employees who meet eligibility requirements.
Hours: The normal hours of work are 35 hours per week in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
Wage: This position is within the CUPE Local 2380 Bargaining Unit with the following pay level and 2025 pay range:
