WASH BAY ATTENDANT

The Wash Bay Attendant is responsible for cleaning equipment and ensuring it is in good condition prior to providing back to operations. They must always promote and demonstrate the company values. Perform all other duties and tasks assigned by supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Area 1:

Ensure cleanliness and good operating condition of equipment.

  • Ensure washing equipment is in good operating condition.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the wash bay floor. Scoop mud and dirt and dump in designated areas. Clean sump, as needed.
  • Assist with bringing equipment in and out of the wash bay, as needed, and act as a spotter.
  • Wash equipment according to work order; full wash, localized wash, etc.
  • Comply with energy isolation policy before working on equipment [LOTO].
  • Clean the equipment cab control panels, dash, gauges, joysticks, windshield, etc.

Area 2:

Operational excellence.

  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Continually seek to improve your skills as a maintainer.
  • Demonstrate a high level of ownership and pride in providing clean equipment back to operations.
  • Watch for inefficiencies or problems.
  • Ensure problems and inefficiencies are shared with others.
  • Work collaboratively to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Consider risk along the five dimensions (throughput, time, quality, sustainability and cost).

Area 3:

Work collaboratively with others to deliver operational reliability.

  • Coordinate with other team members on site to meet shift deliverables.
  • Mentor and train new team members.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively using the tools provided.
  • Ensure any deficiencies are communicated to the appropriate team members for follow up.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver on our commitment to our team, our communities, the environment, and our shareholders.
Minimum Requirements and Nice To Haves

minimum qualifications, formal education, certifications or equivalents

  • Grade 12 or equivalent.

Work experience - Nature & Length

  • 6 months of industrial experience.
  • Equipment maintenance experience is considered an asset.

Additional qualifications - Competency requirements

  • Valid driver's license.
